Types

Grade 1 (Mild)

  •  The mildest form, not visible or palpable during a physical exam.
Detected only through imaging tests like ultrasound.
Usually does not require treatment but should be monitored for progression.
Treatment may be needed if it causes pain or impacts fertility.

Grade 2 (Moderate)

  • More noticeable and can be felt during a physical exam.
Veins are larger and more twisted than in Grade 1.
May cause mild discomfort or pain.
Treatment is optional but may be needed if fertility is affected.

Grade 3 (Severe)

  • The most advanced stage, with large, twisted veins that are easily visible and palpable.
Often associated with significant pain and discomfort.
     More likely to impact fertility.
Medical evaluation and treatment are usually recommended.

Causes

Avoid Pressure on the Scrotum

Avoid activities or positions that exert pressure on the scrotum, such as prolonged sitting, heavy lifting, or cycling.

Maintain a Healthy Weight

Regular exercise and a balanced diet help maintain a healthy weight, promoting better blood circulation and overall well-being.

Manage Underlying Conditions

Treat health issues like high blood pressure or kidney tumors that may contribute to the development of varicoceles

Wear Supportive Underwear

Opt for briefs or compression shorts to enhance scrotal support and promote better blood circulation.
